SGM706B是一款集成的微處理器監控器件，與使用單個IC或分立元件的設計相比，這種集成設計具有提高系統穩定性和準確性的優勢。SGM706B可以在上電、掉電甚至降壓掉電情況下復位，當VCC低至1V時，復位輸出仍能工作。并且還具有低電平有效手動復位nMR功能。

當電源故障、電池電量低或需要監控額外電源時，可以通過SGM706B的1.25V閾值檢測器實現。
